Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is seeking Durham Region resident volunteers to serve as members of the Energy-From-Waste – Waste Management Advisory Committee (EFW-WMAC).

Durham York Energy Centre receives Emergency Amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval

Whitby, Ontario – In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Municipalities of Durham and York (the Regions) have received a temporary Emergency Amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) to process an additional 20,000 tonnes of garbage, for an annual total of 160,000 tonnes of garbage until December 31, 2020. Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is hosting a third public information centre to engage with residents about plans to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is hosting a second public information centre to engage with residents about plans to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.
When: Wednesday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.
