Education and Resources

Over the course of the Environmental Assessment Study for the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) a considerable amount of public outreach was undertaken to provide residents with an understanding of the technology used within the DYEC. Durham and York Regions remain committed to educating the public on the DYEC through various methods including:

• Energy from Waste Advisory Committee
• Energy from Waste-Waste Management Advisory Committee
• Regional and/or Municipal Council Meetings
• Advertisements via local media and public service announcements
• Educational presentations (upon request)
